Solar Hot Water

1. Glycol goes to the collector.
2. Glycol returns after it is heated by the sun and through a heat exchanger warms the potable water.
3. Domestic cold water supplies solar pre heat tank and cools down domestic water supply if it gets too hot.
4. Domestic hot water travels from the solar tank to back-up tank where it is supplemented if needed.

Solar thermal collectors capture and retain heat from the sun and transfer this heat to a liquid.

To be eligible for Snohomish PUD cash incentives or loans, photovoltaic and solar hot water systems must be installed by a PUD registered solar installer. All listed solar installers are licensed, bonded and insured and have solar installation experience and/or training.
